Dear Authors and Publishing Community,

We at Leavitt Peak Press are aware of the recent article published by the Authors Guild on March 21, 2025, which refers to our company in a highly negative and misleading manner. We would like to take this opportunity to clarify several points and address these claims directly, in the interest of transparency and truth.

First and foremost, Leavitt Peak Press is a registered publishing company, fully compliant with industry standards and listed with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). To date, we have maintained an A+ rating, and there have been no formal complaints filed against us with the BBB. This reflects our continued commitment to author satisfaction and ethical publishing practices.

It is disheartening to see our name associated with terms like “scammers” without any prior communication or inquiry from the Authors Guild. At no point were we contacted or given an opportunity to respond, explain, or clarify the details surrounding these claims.

The article presents vague generalizations and red flags without citing any actual case, documented author experience, or direct evidence tied to our organization. While we do engage in outreach to authors — often regarding books that we believe still have unrealized market potential — we do not make promises we cannot fulfill. Our messages are respectful, and our offers are clearly outlined, with terms and pricing fully disclosed and never hidden.

Regarding the “100% royalties for life” claim — this is not presented as a gimmick, but as part of our unique partnership model where, in select packages, authors retain 100% net royalties after publishing costs. This is fully explained during our consultations and is not positioned to mislead. Our intention has always been to empower authors, not misrepresent our services.

Additionally, if some of our consultants' communications may occasionally contain motivational or spiritual sentiments, this is done out of respect and sincerity — especially when working with authors of faith-based or inspirational content. It is not a tactic, but a tone that reflects who we are as a team and how we support our community of writers.

We have reached out to Authors Guild multiple times requesting clarification and the opportunity to present our side, but as of this writing, we have received no response. This silence further calls into question the article's objectivity and motivation. We are left to believe this could either stem from a misunderstanding, an isolated complaint, or a campaign influenced by competition.

We invite any author — past, present, or prospective — to engage with us directly regarding any concerns. Our team is always open, responsive, and ready to assist. We also encourage all authors to do their own research. Aside from this single article, you will find no pattern of negative reviews or misconduct regarding our services over the past three years and beyond.

At Leavitt Peak Press, we take great pride in helping authors breathe new life into their work with transparency, dedication, and mutual respect. We thank those of you who continue to stand with us and encourage open communication in this community.

With sincerity,

Leavitt Peak Press
